The only good thing about going back to school after summer, apart from seeing friends, was getting to linger around the stationery section picking new items. I love it but I don’t know why.
I love it because it brings back the fun of writing and all things stationery. We are in danger of losing the gift of handwriting because everything has changed. We will no longer be able to look back on beautiful letters and old postcards that evoke a bygone age.

I’m always on the look out for new journals, pens and other items of stationery. National Stationery Week is a great way to find new or improved stationery products and introduces me to brands I might otherwise not have known about.

I love this National Stationery Week because it is a great time to marvel at my collection and celebrate the joy of writing! In the digital age, it easy to dismiss the art of putting pen to paper, but nothing digital can give me that same satisfaction!
I dig #NatStatWeek because it’s the one week out of the year when my feed is flooded with brand new products I might not have seen on the high street.

I love National Stationery Week because it highlights the art of handwriting, spelling & punctuation, which are very important otherwise the written word will become a lost art. A handwritten letter shows you have taken the time to care, and older people appreciate receiving a personal handwritten card or letter. Emails, tweets & facebook messages have their place, but must never be allowed to ‘replace’ stationery. I adore lovely notepaper, notebooks, pens & pencils.

I think National stationery week is so important as it reminds us to put pen to paper. Using computers all the time and sending emails means we forget about the art of penmanship. To write a letter or keep a handwritten journal is a beautiful skill that should never be lost..it makes me think of the first day at school when we got our new exercise books, with that unique smell, and made the effort to write as neatly as we could. This is a stunning pen that I would absolutely cherish. Thanks xx

I love National Stationery week because I’ve had the chance to feed my addiction for stationery and pens in particular for free. I was given a Parker pen for getting to Grammar age 11 and it served me well throughout school, college and most of my teaching career until the nib broke. My lovely hubby spent his Xmas bonus for 4 years on replacing it with not only a beautiful fountain pen but also matching ballpoint, pencil and rollerball. I’m a tech loving OAP but nothing beats writing with a quality pen 🙂
