As a long-term stationery lover, I adore working for The Pen Company. My childhood saw me carrying around a little red briefcase covered in stickers and full of pens, paper and other such goodies; my adulthood sees me doing pretty much exactly the same!

I love notebooks and planners. There is something so enticing about a new notebook. A blank page to be filled with dreams, aspirations and plans. It’s a safe place where my ideas are welcomed and encouraged.

My favourite kind of stationery is memo pads. I use them all the time and have one on my desk, one by the telephone and one on my bedside table. They’re great for jotting down phone messages, to-do lists, grocery lists, reminders & also, I like to leave sweet little messages for my family.

Memopads! They’re super handy for jotting down little lists (to do, reminders, groceries, etc) and I also use them to write cute little notes for my family to find (which I think they appreciate!)

I well crafted notebook. My dad was a master bookbinder when I was little and I watched the many stages that he would go through to bind a book with fascination.

for me it’s pens, and the worst part is we’re always losing them so I’m always buying them, think we have a pen goblin in the house!

I can’t get enough pens. If anyone touches my pens it really puts me on edge. They have to be decent quality too but there are several good quality ones. I don’t have a favourite brand.

I love a new notebook. I like to personalise it front page and then carry it everywhere for notes lists and doodles. Hate it when it runs out.

I always have a highlighter nearby to mark beautiful phrases or sentences I come across in my reading. Might be sacrilege to some, but I hope this will help me on my journey to becoming a writer 🙂

Notebooks for me> I use a pocket size one to record those instant notes – the gems you hear on the train or passing someone in the street. I use larger ones for fleshing out stories, characters and locations.

I love a good quality and trustworthy pen. I hate using really cheap biros that smudge & suffer ink flow problems, they just don’t function efficiently & it affects my thinking as well as my writing.

  24. Eileen Pritchard at 1:51 pm

The best bit about the start of a school year was the new pen(s) and general stationery you had purchased for you.

I have a pen and pencil problem. I buy pens or pencils or markers every where. I have a vintage Schaeffer fountain pen but am currently using 3 BIC pens from Dollar General to write my latest book. I love ink!

  27. Amanda at 6:54 pm

Lovely giveaway, and great way to celebrate this week. I love snail mail, so my favourite stationary is nice paper. But you have to have a good pen to write a nice letter too.
