The Pelikan Toledo 700 is a slightly smaller version of the Toledo 900. It is created from 925 sterling silver which is then plated with fine gold film before being engraved by hand. The nib is also 18-carat gold with a rhodium trim.

The Toledo fountain pen is named after the Spanish city that is well-known for its continued use of Damascus patterning — the inspiration for the exquisite decorative technique used on this instrument.

The Toledo has featured this patterning since 1931, and 50 of this pen are now made in Germany per month by hand — each pen unique.
